# Add and configure a project

**The inspectio platform utilizes projects to organize your inspection [tasks](https://help.inspectio.no/knowledge-base/tasks?hsLang=en). Configure your projects, create [project scopes](https://help.inspectio.no/knowledge-base/scopes?hsLang=en) for your tasks to start documenting your equipment inspections.**

**Adding a project:**

To add a new project, first locate the *+Add* button in the top right part of the *Projects* tab in the web portal.

This will open the *Add Project* dialog. Give your project a name, set an optional due date and click *Add*.

Your new project can be found in the *Projects* overview list. Click the project to enter. 

**Configuring a project:**

The next step after creating a new project is to start configuring. The *Project Configuration* can be accessed by clicking the *Configure* button in the top right corner.
