Keep the application database healthy by making sure the size of the database is not getting to large. For best performance the database should be well below 1GB.

Check the app size in Android by "click and hold" on the Inspectio app > App info

Due to the nature of the offline database Inspectio need to store data locally. There are mainly two driving factors that increases the local app database:

  • Historical photos from other devices
  • Historical photos on your device

Photos are compressed and optimized, but still build data over time.

Clean up images
  • Clean up old downloaded images will remove images that has not been interacted with in the last 30 days from the device.
  • Clear all downloaded images will remove all images from the device.

The Clean up functions will only remove the image from the device database locally, after a clean up images are still available for on-demand download.

Refetch local database

If the device local database is running for several months of active use without being deleted or your app database is large due to many historical photos. Consider deleting the database and re fetch the device. Go to Settings > Data management > Refetch database from server Refetch will not download historical photos, but the user can download photos on demand in the app when on Wifi.
